About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and advanced training in trauma-focused therapies. I work with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, with a particular passion for supporting adolescents and emerging adults as they navigate life’s challenges. My areas of interest include neurodivergence, giftedness, existential issues, anxiety, attachment concerns, and life transitions. I also enjoy helping adults at any stage of life explore identity, work through trauma, manage relationships and find meaningful ways to move forward.

My counseling style is warm, empathic, and collaborative. I partner with clients to recognize patterns, clarify goals, and create meaningful progress toward growth and healing. Guided by Irvin Yalom’s philosophy of being a “fellow traveler,” I view therapy as a shared journey where authentic connection, insight, and compassion foster change.

Professional Development

My clinical experience includes work in a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program with adolescents, where I provided both individual and group therapy. In this role, I led psychoeducation groups, incorporated expressive arts into treatment, and collaborated on safety planning to ensure holistic support. These experiences continue to inform my ability to support clients through crisis and long-term recovery.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked for over four years as a Registered Behavior Technician with children on the autism spectrum. This role gave me a deep appreciation for the strengths and challenges of neurodivergence and continues to influence my patient, strengths-based approach with clients across the lifespan. As an LPC Associate, I am committed to professional growth and ongoing learning that expands the depth and breadth of care I can provide.

Personal Background

I grew up in several places, primarily in Arizona, but my family roots are in Texas. Sports were an important part of my early life—I played football and baseball—and I still enjoy staying active. Outside of counseling, I spend time outdoors, connect with family and friends, watch movies, and play music. These outlets keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and self-care.
