About Me

I was born and raised in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. After marrying my husband, I had the opportunity to live abroad in England while he served in the military. His service also took us to Killeen, Texas, and Sierra Vista, Arizona, before we returned home to DFW in 2012. Since then, I’ve pursued my passion for helping others by earning two master’s degrees, one in Criminal Justice and the other in Professional Counseling. I have been in the role as a classroom teacher in a Discipline Alternative Education Program for grades 7–12, where I supported students navigating a wide range of challenges. I currently serve as an elementary school counselor, working with students from Pre-K through 6th grade to build emotional awareness, resilience, and healthy coping skills.

My husband and I are proud parents of two children, and we do our best to support them in all of their interests and endeavors. As a family, we believe in learning through life’s experiences—embracing both the challenges and the growth that comes with them. These personal experiences, along with my professional background in school counseling, have given me a special connection to working with adolescents and families. I understand the importance of supporting both teens and parents as they navigate the emotional and developmental changes of adolescence.

Professional Development

As a lifelong learner, I value continued growth and education that deepens my ability to serve clients with care and competence. I actively seek out opportunities for professional development that enhance my understanding of diverse client needs and evidence-based practices. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians while refining my own skills and approach. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and stress management.

What I Love About My Career

Helping others has always been a part of who I am. I find deep fulfillment in walking alongside clients as they discover new perspectives, develop effective solutions, and reconnect with their inner strength. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the moments when clients begin to trust themselves again—when hope is restored and they begin to shine from within.

Supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families is a meaningful part of my work. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the transitions, pressures, and identity development that come with these life stages. Whether a teen is struggling with anxiety, school-related stress, self-esteem, or emotional regulation—or a young adult is facing major life decisions, relationships, or a shift in independence, I provide a safe, supportive space for growth and healing. I also partner with parents and caregivers to help strengthen communication, increase understanding, and support the family as a whole. My goal is to meet each person where they are, while fostering confidence, resilience, and healthy relationships.
